Believe me, I'll use any excuse to go shopping. And when it's for a good cause? Well, sign me up and take my credit card! I recently got invited to "Super Saturday," QVC's benefit event for the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund Alliance at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. ALL proceeds went to ovarian cancer research and everything was donated by the vendors. I opted for the whole VIP treatment -- amazing parking and the swag bag of all swag bags. There were plenty of freebies (Mary Kay lip gloss anyone? Why, yes, don't mind if I do), free food, a bar and loads of killer deals. Let's just say a girl doesn't really NEED more faux fur jackets, but at these prices, I was like Veruca Salt -- "I want them all daddy!!!" And anyway, it ALL goes to ovarian cancer research, so I shopped on.. and on... and on. Met the very cute Courtney Cason, QVC host, and Jodie Sweetin of "Full House" who couldn't have been nicer and obliged me with selfies. Oh, and the best part? The catering staff looked like male models. Only in L.A.
The "Super Saturday" VIP swag bag. Yikes, it was heavy.
Here's what was inside: An Ora Delphine leather tote and sunglasses case, a Bobeau scarf, food scale, snacks galore, Wen hair treatment, many mascaras, sunscreen from Honest beauty, a Skinny Tees tank top, earrings from Gorjana jewelry and much, much more.
