Happy Thanksgiving and 6 Fashion Trends I'm Thankful For
Happy Thanksgiving, my beautiful and stylish friends! I hope you are enjoying the day, however you celebrate. I plan to eat myself silly and decide whether or not this is actually the year I participate in the Black Friday madness. As we stuff our faces with pie and think about what we're thankful for (yes, I love you family and friends and good health), I thought I'd go in a slightly different direction and list a few of the fashion trends I'm most thankful for.
Diversity. Cover Girl, Target, Nordstrom. They all feature the beautiful cornucopia of our country and have included models that represent everyone.
Some designers starting to get a clue about size. Thank you Tim Gunn, Christian Siriano and Mellisa McCarthy for leading the way and being strong proponents of stylish , beautiful clothes for everyone!
70's revival. Flares, peasant tops, platform sandals, it's all good.
Ballet style. Seeing lots of tulle skirts and lace-up shoes. LOVE.
Velvet. Loving that it's been incorporated into shoes! But the blazers and pants out there are pretty amazing, too. Try it, you'll love it.
Last, but not least, my stylish friends who each have their own point of view and always look great. You inspire me.
Have a beautiful day!!! xo, The Cursing Ballerina
